You can remove unused licenses anytime.
Sign in to Google Admin Console
Go to .
Sign in with a Super Admin account.
Go to Billing Section
Click on Billing from the left panel.
Select Your Google Workspace Subscription.
Reduce User Licenses
Click Manage Subscription.
Under Users and Licenses, reduce the number of licenses.
Confirm the changes.
Save Changes
The reduction will take effect immediately, and your next billing cycle will reflect the updated license count.
Google does NOT allow reducing licenses until renewal.
You can only remove licenses at the end of the billing cycle.
To adjust, contact Google Support or your reseller for options.
If Google does not allow direct reduction, you can:
Delete Unused Accounts (Users > Delete Users
).
Suspend Accounts (Suspended users do not count towards active licenses in a flexible plan).
